Vintage Mayfair Christmas Card List Metal Box. These Christmas Card List Boxes are so cute and we have collected them for years. We especially like them for the cute graphics. Our mother always had her boxes for multiple uses-recipes and lists.
These have become so popular.
Most styles are made by Stylecraft, Mayfair, Ohio Art, Syndicate and J Chein.
Here is a Vintage 1954 Mayfair Co Christmas Card List metal box.
This is one of our favorites based on the graphics and the use of chartreuse green.
Features: green metal box decorated and white interior; great retro graphics featuring Santa and his presents on the front, looks like Christmas stamps on the top and festive pinecones on the sides; the words CHRISTMAS Card and a dangling LIST is printed on the front of the lid. Bottom has Mayfair logo and dated 1954.
This DOES NOT have the original card list cards or dividers.
Condition- Very Good. Great graphics, the top closes, sides have slight gap, there are 3 green marks on the front of the right side of the lid which we think the paint is worn off, some paint areas faded, This box was used as demonstrated by the scratches which are featured in the pictures.
Dimensions: 5.25” W x 3.50” H x 3.25” D. These fit standard index cards.
