Another obsession of ours are Vintage Christmas Corsages. We think that our love for these came from growing up and seeing family members and old photos of lapels or hats adorned with live or store made corsages.
We look closely at each one for all the hidden details and surprises. In the 1950s and beyond these became very popular to either make with kits sold lor by manufacturers. Real flowers were expensive so this was an alternative. They were offered by five and dime like Woolworths and appeared in seasonal catalogs such as Sears or Eaton’s.

We gave a lecture recently and were amazed at the number of collectors and how corsages are being used. Sue likes to rescue and upscale the corsages she can save and also uses them to decorate trees and wreaths.
We have decided to list some to make room for our new ones

Here is a Santa Land MCM Corsage with red leaves, pink glass ornament, red tinsel in the original box.

Corsage: Santa Land, Made in Japan, Red starburst with 1 pink mercury balls, pinecone, sprigs of red tinsel, lattice bell, red aluminum leaves, Straight Pin on the back and a red and silver striped bow. MADE IN JAPAN LABEL TUCKED IN THE MIDDLE. The square plastic box has Santa Land and a Santa Face logo decoration.
Card: plain blue card.
Box: Square Plastic
Measurements of corsage: approximately is 5 x 4 1/2 inches
Condition: Overall - Very Good. Was worn
Corsage- Very Good, some areas of wear on the ornament, the RED LEAVES HAVE CREASES
Box- plastic is hard, cardboard back has patina. The blue back has some markings from corsage.
